Window Film is a general term used to describe a protective microthin layer of film, usually installed retrofit to existing glass on windows and glass partitions in offices, factories and residences to provide either solar protection, safety & security or glass enhancement and privacy. Window Films are classified into 3 categories:

A. Sun Control Films

Sun Control Films are designed to shield your house, office, building or storefront from the intense heat, glare and UV rays of the sun.

HEAT REDUCTION : It enhances the insulation properties of your building or office saving you energy costs through heat reduction by as much as 75%.

GLARE REDUCTION : It reduces glare, thus preventing eyestrain and allowing better visibility in computer and television screens.

ULTRAVIOLET (UV) RAY REDUCTION : It blocks out 99.9% UV rays, which is the major cause of fading of furniture, carpets, and artwork. UV is also the major cause of skin cancer.

HEAT LOSS REDUCTION : The Low-Emission Films reflect back heat from the furnace during winter time that otherwise goes out through the glass.

DAYTIME PRIVACY : Some reflective films provide daytime privacy where people outside cannot see in, while building occupants can see out.

ENHANCED BUILDING APPEARANCE: The dual-reflective films provide a uniform reflective look on the outside, concealing sources of unsightly objects that diminish the building's appearance, while from the inside, it's low internal reflection allows the building occupants a very natural view.

WELL-BALANCED INTERIOR CLIMATE. The combination of heat reduction during summer and heat loss reduction during winter dramatically reduces hot spots and cold spots in the building, thus improving tenant comfort and providing and more comfortable and productive working environment , likewise reducing complaints.

B. Safety & Security Films

Safety & Security Films are thick, multi-layered Mylar Polyester Films laminated with a very strong and aggressive pressure-sensitive adhesive on one side and a durable scratch-resistant coating on the other side and are designed to hold glass together in cases of accidental or deliberate impact on the glass.

BURGLAR-DETERRENT. It helps prevent break-ins in smash-and-grab crimes by delaying physical entry through the glass.

SAFETY AGAINST VIOLENT WEATHER. It can effectively reduce flying glass-related injuries that can result from everything from a hurricane or earthquake tremor.

SECURITY AGAINST TERROR ATTACKS. Together with a patented frame-attachment system, security films effectively protects building occupants from glass-related injuries in cases of terrorist attacks such as bombings.

Various levels of film protection are available to address different hazard levels.
These films are usually optically clear without distortion but are likewise available in tinted version to combine safety & security protection with solar protection.

FADE PROTECTION. All these films, including the optically clear films, reduce UV by as much as 99% to help prevent fading.

ANTI-GRAFFITI. These special anti-graffiti films protects expensive glass and flat stainless steel from vandalism such as chemical etching, and graffiti and its special adhesives make it easy to remove and replace.

C. Glass Enhancement Films

Glass Enhancement Films are installed on windows and interior partitions to provide beauty, safety and privacy to what is otherwise "naked glass".

Frost-Etch Film and Sandblast Film give the appearance of etch glass and sandblasted glass but without the high cost and the mess.

These films can be computer-cut or hand-cut to come up with a variety of designs, such as logos, geometric shapes, etc.

Unlike actual etching or sandblasting, these films can be installed on tempered glass.

Unlike actual etch or sandblasted glass, these films can be removed and replaced if the client wants to update the appearance at a later time, without replacing the glass.

The Illusions Series are patterned in themselves, such as White Bamboo, Matte Rice Paper, Crystal Shells, Iced Glue Chip, Iced Abstract, Interlocking Squares, etc. to provide a variety of beauty and privacy combinations.
